The T-Tech Check Verification Service helps merchants separate good check writers from bad ones allowing them to customize a check acceptance policy that will benefit both the merchants and their customers.

Armed with national databases containing real-time information from thousands of retail businesses and Collection agencies, T-Tech offers one of the most accurate check verification services in the industry. The databases provide merchants with continually updated information including bad check activity as it occurs through velocity controls.  We use both Drivers License data as well as checking account data.

Our verification options allow merchants to reduce the likelihood of multiple fraudulent transactions and also help detect fraud in progress. Our services make it possible for merchants to accept more checks, leading to increased sales, higher profits and greater customer satisfaction.

T-Tech’s Check Verification service provides several options with which to utilize our resources. Here's how it works:

The basic Verification service separates good and bad check risks using a variety of negative databases. These databases are made up of millions of bad check records and positive history tracking.  This enables merchants to make informed, reliable decisions regarding each check their business sees.

The Verification service offers these benefits to anyone accepting a check or other DDA payment device.

  • Reduces the risk of fraudulent transactions

  • Enables the adoption of a more liberal check acceptance policy

  • Enables customization of verification services to meet your business needs

  • Permits use of national databases with real-time information

T-Tech participates in the Visa POS Check service program, which allows the check to be verified by the drawee bank during the authorization process.  For checks drawn upon participating Financial Institutions we can make the approval or decline decision based upon access to the checking account.
